Tirupati, August 7 — Tirupati MP Dr. Gurumurthy has met with Union Minister for Roads and Transport Nitin Gadkari in Delhi to press for the acceleration of the Tirupati Inter-Modal Bus Station project. The project, set to be developed with an investment of ₹500 crore by National Highways Logistics Management Limited, aims to create a world-class bus terminal in Tirupati.Dr. Gurumurthy previously engaged with Gadkari and relevant officials multiple times to discuss project designs and expedite the process. He noted that the project had faced delays due to the election code of conduct, which stalled the tendering process.During the recent meeting, MP Gurumurthy reiterated the urgency of starting the project. He reminded Gadkari of his earlier commitment to initiate the project soon. The Union Minister responded positively, assuring that tenders for the construction would be issued within a month and that steps would be taken to commence the work promptly.The inter-modal bus station project is expected to significantly enhance transportation infrastructure in Tirupati, offering modern facilities and improved connectivity.
