Two Women Found Wandering Without Support in Chilakalguda, Shifted to Dream India Home
Hyderabad, August 31, 2026: Two women found wandering without proper support in the Chilakalguda police station limits were rescued by the police and moved to a safe shelter in Secunderabad.
The women were found in a confused and helpless state. Police officials took immediate steps to ensure their safety.
One of the women is believed to be around 70 years old. She identified herself only as Balamani. However, she could not provide any other personal or family details.
The second woman identified herself as Vadde Govindamma, aged 55. She reportedly gave her husband’s name as Venkatappa.
Govindamma said she was originally from Jingurthi Mandal in the then K.V. Ranga Reddy district. However, she was unable to provide complete details about her family members.
Following the instructions of Chilakalguda Circle Inspector Valishetti Ramakrishna, Head Constable Poosa Srinivas shifted both women to Dream India Home, an ashram in Secunderabad.
The women have been provided shelter and care at the facility.
Police have appealed to relatives, friends and local residents who may recognise either woman to contact the Chilakalguda Police Station.
The appeal is aimed at helping the women reunite with their families and ensuring their safe return home.

Anyone with information about Balamani or Vadde Govindamma is requested to approach the Chilakalguda police immediately. Sharing information with the police could help trace their families.
