Secunderabad, July 25: A snake measuring over three feet in length was spotted inside a roadside drain in the Chilkalguda area of Secunderabad on Saturday evening, creating concern among local residents.
According to local sources, the snake was first noticed between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. After receiving information, local reporters immediately alerted the wildlife rescue team and requested urgent assistance.
The rescue team reached the location at around 9:00 PM and carefully carried out a rescue operation. After safely capturing the snake without causing harm to the reptile or the public, the team took it away for release in a suitable natural habitat.
Residents appreciated the prompt response of the rescue team, whose timely action helped avoid any untoward incident. The incident also served as a reminder for people to remain cautious during the monsoon season, when snakes are often seen entering residential areas in search of shelter or food.
Authorities and wildlife volunteers have advised the public not to attempt catching snakes on their own and instead contact trained rescue personnel whenever such sightings occur.
