Wife, Relative Allegedly Murder Husband Over Extramarital Affair in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri

Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Telangana: A woman and her alleged lover, who is reportedly her husband’s nephew, have been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, police said.

The accused were identified as Rapolu Sharada and Rapolu Shiva. According to Choutuppal Deputy Superintendent of Police Patolla Madhusudhan Reddy, the two allegedly conspired to eliminate Rapolu Danaiah, 38, after he objected to their alleged relationship.

Danaiah, a resident of Ankireddygudem village in Choutuppal mandal, was married to Sharada and the couple had two daughters and a son. The family had taken agricultural land on lease near the Shanigala Gutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on the outskirts of Pantangi village.

Husband Objected to Alleged Relationship

Police said Danaiah had allegedly confronted his wife several times over her relationships with other men. Recently, Sharada allegedly developed an extramarital relationship with Rapolu Shiva, who is Danaiah’s elder brother’s son.

After learning about the relationship, Danaiah reportedly warned both of them. Police said Shiva had allegedly threatened Danaiah on several occasions, believing that he was an obstacle to their relationship.

Murder at Agricultural Field

According to police, Danaiah was scheduled to travel to Durajpalli in Suryapet district on Sunday. However, Sharada allegedly stopped him from going and took him to their agricultural field.

She later allegedly called Shiva to the field. When Danaiah noticed Sharada and Shiva together, an argument reportedly broke out between Danaiah and Shiva.

The two allegedly attacked each other during the confrontation. When Danaiah fell to the ground, Sharada allegedly held his legs while Shiva attacked him repeatedly with stones lying at the spot, resulting in his death.

Police Suspected Wife’s Behaviour

After the alleged murder, Sharada reportedly approached a person working in a nearby field and claimed that her husband was missing. A search of the surrounding area led to Danaiah being found lying in a pool of blood.

Police reached the scene and began an investigation. Officers reportedly became suspicious of Sharada’s conduct and questioned her. During interrogation, she allegedly confessed to her role in the crime, police said.

Meanwhile, Shiva allegedly fled from the area after taking his mobile phones and clothes. Police said he later disposed of the items in Gundrampalli lake in Chityal mandal. The articles were subsequently recovered.

Shiva was later apprehended by police near the Pantangi toll plaza.

Both accused were arrested and produced before a court, which remanded them in judicial custody, the DSP said.

Police also said they were investigating Sharada’s alleged contacts and social-media accounts as part of the case. Further investigation is underway.
