Male and Female Mice Responded Differently

Male mice gradually increased their alcohol intake after isolation. Female mice showed the opposite pattern and reduced their alcohol consumption.

When the BLA-mPFC pathway was artificially activated, male mice increased their alcohol intake. The effect was not seen with water or sucrose.
