Mohan Bhagwat Says Krishna Consciousness Can Make the World a Better Place
New York: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said Krishna consciousness can help create a more peaceful and harmonious world.
Bhagwat made the remarks during his visit to a Bhakti centre in New York on Friday. He spoke about the need for unity amid growing conflicts and differences across the world.
“In today’s world, there are so many conflicts and so many dualities. The only thing that unites us is consciousness. And that consciousness is Krishna Consciousness,” Bhagwat said.
He stressed that diversity should not become a reason for division. According to Bhagwat, a deeper spiritual understanding can help people look beyond their differences.
Bhagwat also referred to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. He said the message encourages people to understand the connection between humanity and the divine while continuing their responsibilities in the world.
“If that world reaches every heart, the world will definitely be a better world,” Bhagwat said.
Bhagwat Visits ISKCON Centre in New York
During his New York visit, Bhagwat visited an ISKCON centre and paid tribute to its founder, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
He was also shown exhibits highlighting ISKCON’s early history in New York. The organisation was founded in New York in 1966 and later developed into a global spiritual movement.
Bhagwat’s visit comes during the 60th anniversary year of ISKCON. He also participated in a food distribution initiative for homeless people in New York, according to reports.

The RSS chief is currently on a tour of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. His New York visit also comes ahead of the Universal Oneness Celebration at Madison Square Garden on August 29.
