Chandrababu Naidu Distributes NTR Bharosa Pensions to Fishermen Families in Mogalthuru
Mogalthuru, West Godavari: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Mogalthuru in the Narsapuram constituency on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister participated in the ‘Pedala Sevalo’ programme in the village. He personally distributed pensions to fishermen families during the programme.
Naidu also interacted with the beneficiaries and their family members. He enquired about their well-being and livelihood conditions.
The Chief Minister asked whether welfare schemes were reaching eligible families. He also sought feedback on the difficulties faced by the fishermen community.
As part of his visit, Naidu spent some time travelling on a boat with fishermen. The interaction highlighted the government’s focus on understanding the concerns of fishing communities.
NTR Bharosa Pension Support for Fishermen
The NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme covers several vulnerable sections of society. Fishermen are among the occupational groups eligible for pension support under the scheme.
According to the Andhra Pradesh government’s official pension portal, the enhanced pension for fishermen and several other categories is ₹4,000 per month. The revised amount has been applicable from July 2024.
The scheme aims to provide regular financial support to eligible beneficiaries. It also seeks to help vulnerable families maintain a dignified standard of living.
Chandrababu Naidu’s Mogalthuru Visit
Naidu’s visit comes as part of the state government’s ‘Pedala Sevalo’ outreach programme. The initiative involves direct interaction with pension beneficiaries and other sections of society.
During the Mogalthuru programme, the Chief Minister also spoke about welfare and development. He stressed the importance of ensuring that government benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.
The Mogalthuru visit has drawn attention among local fishermen families. His interaction with the community also provided an opportunity to hear their concerns directly.
The Andhra Pradesh government continues to implement the NTR Bharosa pension programme across the state. Official data shows that the scheme covers multiple social security categories.
