Chilkalguda Police Reunite Two Missing Elderly Women With Their Families
Hyderabad: Chilkalguda police have reunited two elderly women with their families after tracing their whereabouts.
The women, identified as Balamani and Govindamma, were found in the Chilkalguda area on August 31.
Police first shifted both women to Dream India Home for shelter and safety. They then began efforts to identify their families.
Police collected details and photographs of the women. Teams also made enquiries in nearby areas to trace their relatives.
Meanwhile, Govindamma’s family learned about her whereabouts. They reached the Chilkalguda Police Station and provided the required details.
After verifying their identity, police handed Govindamma over to her family.
In another case, Balamani’s family members from Vikarabad saw her photograph in newspapers. They immediately contacted the Chilkalguda Police Station.
Police verified the family’s identity and brought Balamani from Dream India Home. She was then safely handed over to her relatives.
The effort was carried out under the directions of Inspector Valishetty Ramakrishna. Head Constable Poosa Srinivas took the initiative to trace the families.
Both women were safely reunited with their loved ones.
The families expressed their gratitude to the Chilkalguda police for their timely help and humanitarian approach.
The incident highlights the role of police in assisting vulnerable people who are separated from their families.
