Chanchalguda–Santosh Nagar Steel Flyover Inaugurated by CM Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the much-awaited Chanchalguda–Santosh Nagar steel flyover in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MPs Vem Narender Reddy, Anil Kumar Yadav and Raghuveer Reddy.
Several MLAs, MLCs and other public representatives also participated in the event.
The new flyover is expected to provide major relief to commuters travelling through the busy Old City and surrounding areas.
₹620-Crore Four-Lane Steel Flyover
The Chanchalguda–Santosh Nagar flyover has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹620 crore.
The elevated corridor stretches for around 3.2 kilometres. It has a width of 16.6 metres and features four lanes.
The flyover connects the Chanchalguda area with Santosh Nagar. It is designed to ease congestion on one of Hyderabad’s heavily travelled routes.
The project is expected to benefit commuters from areas including Chanchalguda, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar, Champapet and nearby localities.
Expected to Ease Traffic Congestion
The flyover will help commuters avoid several busy junctions along the route.
It is also expected to reduce travel delays during peak hours. The project forms part of Hyderabad’s wider efforts to improve urban road connectivity.
The Chanchalguda–Santosh Nagar corridor has long faced heavy traffic volumes. The opening of the new steel flyover is therefore being seen as an important infrastructure development for the city.
The inauguration marks the completion of a major transport project aimed at improving mobility in southern Hyderabad.
