KTR Slams Congress Over Youth Declaration Promises, Questions Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has launched a fresh attack on the Congress government in Telangana.

KTR alleged that the Congress failed to fulfil the promises made in its Youth Declaration.

He claimed that the party had announced 24 promises for the youth before the 2023 Assembly elections.

According to KTR, Congress had promised to implement its commitments within 100 days.

He questioned why the government was still being asked to account for its promises after 1,000 days in office.

KTR made the remarks while targeting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Congress government.

He alleged that the ruling party had done little for Telangana youth apart from making promises.

KTR also used sharp language to attack Congress leaders over their style of functioning.

He accused them of focusing on their own interests instead of addressing public concerns.

The BRS leader further questioned the repeated demand for former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to resign.

“If KCR should resign, then why shouldn’t Revanth Reddy resign?” KTR asked.

He questioned whether the responsibility for the alleged failures should instead rest with the present government.

KTR has repeatedly accused the Congress government of failing to honour its election commitments.

The BRS has also stepped up its campaign against the Congress as the government reaches the 1,000-day milestone.

The opposition party has highlighted alleged delays in implementing promises concerning youth, students, farmers and other sections.

Congress, however, has maintained that its government has undertaken several welfare and development initiatives.

The political dispute over the implementation of election promises is expected to remain a major issue in Telangana politics.
