Mandamarri Tehsildar Allegedly Chased After Probing Ration Rice Smuggling
Mandamarri, Mancherial: Concerns over the safety of government officials have surfaced in Telangana’s Mancherial district.
A Mandamarri tehsildar has reportedly complained to police after unidentified persons allegedly followed his vehicle.
The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday night after he completed his official duties. He was travelling home when the alleged pursuit took place.
According to reports, Tehsildar P. Satish Kumar Sharma had been looking into information about the alleged illegal transportation of ration rice in the Mandamarri mandal.
The officer later approached the Ramakrishnapur police and reported the incident.
Reports also claim that suspicious persons remained near his residence for several hours. Their presence was allegedly noticed until around 3:30 am.
The exact reason behind the alleged pursuit remains unclear. Police are expected to examine the circumstances and identify those involved.
Several possible angles may need to be examined during the investigation. These could include disputes linked to official duties or other personal issues.
The incident has reportedly caused concern among revenue department officials in the area.
The matter has also raised questions about the safety of field-level government officers. If an officer faces such concerns while performing official duties, residents are asking whether ordinary citizens feel safe.
The Mancherial district administration lists P. Satish Kumar as the Mandamarri tehsildar.
However, the allegations against the unidentified persons have not yet been established by a court. Further details are expected as the police inquiry progresses.
