**Chakradharpur, Jharkhand** — The Howrah-Mumbai Express collided with a goods train early this morning in a major accident that has left at least 2 people dead and over 40 injured. The incident occurred around 3:45 AM near Chakradharpur, between Rajkharsawan and Barabambo, when train number 12810 Howrah-CSMT Express derailed and overturned, subsequently crashing into a stationary goods train on an adjacent track.The accident involved the derailment of five coaches, which caused them to collide with the goods train. Emergency response teams, including the Government Railway Police (GRP) and railway officials, arrived promptly at the scene. A railway medical team provided first aid to the injured passengers, who were subsequently transported to the railway hospital in Chakradharpur.Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Aditya Kumar Choudhary confirmed the incident and stated that a relief train from Chakradharpur Railway Division has been dispatched. In addition, ambulances and police teams were deployed to assist in the rescue efforts. The Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela also arrived at the site to oversee the response and aid efforts.Passengers reported a sudden and loud crash shortly after the train departed from Barabambo and was en route to Tatanagar. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
