Hyderabad,– GHMC corporators Koppula Narsimha Reddy, Mahender, and Sri Vani recently met with Commissioner AV Ranganath to address concerns regarding the Salkam Cheruvu lake. The corporators have called for immediate action to protect the lake and remove what they claim are illegal structures within its premises.The corporators have alleged that the Owaisi brothers, Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi, have encroached upon the lake area. They specifically accused the brothers of constructing the Fathima Owaisi Women’s College on the lakebed, which they argue is a violation of environmental and legal regulations.The appeal to the Commissioner seeks to address these allegations by demolishing the purported illegal constructions and ensuring the preservation of Salkam Cheruvu. The GHMC has yet to comment on the claims or outline any planned actions regarding the matter.
