**Chittoor, September 5, 2024**: A senior woman leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has come forward accusing **Koneti Adimoolam**, the MLA from Satyavedu constituency, Chittoor district, of sexual assault. The woman leader held a press conference in Tirupati on Thursday, revealing video evidence of the MLA allegedly misbehaving with her at a hotel in Tirupati in July. She claimed to have recorded the incident using a pen camera. The woman stated that she had written to TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister **N Chandrababu Naidu**, and party general secretary **Nara Lokesh**, calling for the removal of Adimoolam from his post and expulsion from the party. She expressed regret for campaigning for him during the last election, despite her initial opposition to his candidacy after he defected from the YSR Congress Party to the TDP.According to her, after Adimoolam obtained her contact details during party events, he made inappropriate advances. She alleged that he called her to a hotel room in Tirupati, where he sexually assaulted her and made threats to harm her and her family if she revealed the abuse. She further claimed that the MLA had raped her on three separate occasions in the same hotel. In her determination to expose his actions, the woman secretly recorded the MLA’s behavior during their last meeting. “I recorded the assault when he called me to the hotel for the third time,” she stated. She also accused Adimoolam of being a serial offender, alleging that he had assaulted multiple women and harassed those who resisted his advances. In response to the serious accusations, the **Telugu Desam Party** swiftly suspended Koneti Adimoolam. In a statement, TDP State President **Palla Srinivasa Rao** said, “The party takes the allegations against Koneti Adimoolam seriously and has decided to suspend him in light of the sexual harassment claims reported in the media.”Adimoolam has refuted the allegations, claiming that they are part of a conspiracy by leaders within the party.
