HYDRAA Demolishes Illegal Structures in Sangareddy District, Including Properties Linked to BRS Leader

*Sangareddy, September 22, 2024* – The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HYDRAA) has demolished multiple illegal structures in Krishnareddypet village, under the Ameenpur Municipality, Sangareddy District. Acting on official orders, around 16 illegal constructions were identified in Government Survey No. 12, linked to Patta Survey No. 6 of Patelguda village.The demolition drive, carried out by teams from the revenue and municipal departments, took place under heavy police security, overseen by Patancheru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ravinder Reddy. The action followed an investigation by HYDRAA, which confirmed the illegal status of the buildings.Among the illegal constructions, officials recognized properties linked to Thota Chandrasekhar, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The demolitions were part of an ongoing effort by HYDRAA to crack down on unlawful land use and ensure adherence to government land regulations.The operation, conducted without incident, sends a strong message regarding the government’s stance on illegal encroachments, regardless of political affiliations. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to curbing unauthorized constructions across the region. Further investigations are expected to determine additional accountability in the case.
