*Amaravati, September 27, 2024* — In a significant step to tackle rising cybercrimes and human trafficking, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anita announced the establishment of cyber crime police stations in every district of the state. The announcement was made during a national conference on human trafficking held on Thursday.The Home Minister emphasized the need for specialized units to handle the increasing incidents of cybercrime, which have become more frequent in recent years. “Cybercrimes are on the rise, and we must take proactive measures to address this issue,” she said.During the conference, Anita also highlighted the growing menace of human trafficking, noting that traffickers are using the pretext of employment and marriage bureaus to exploit vulnerable individuals. She reassured that the state government is committed to taking all necessary measures to prevent such crimes and protect citizens.“The establishment of cyber crime police stations in every district is a key initiative to enhance our ability to tackle both cybercrimes and human trafficking efficiently. These stations will be equipped with the necessary resources and trained personnel to investigate and take action against such offenses,” she added.
