In a sensational and unusual turn of events, a 19-year-old B.Tech first-year student from Chittoor reportedly left home to live with a 38-year-old woman who works as a lab technician in a private college.
The woman, who had been separated from her husband and living independently, had grown close to the student over the past few months. Their friendship, which began on the college campus, gradually turned into a romantic relationship, according to police sources.
On *May 24, the student told his parents that he was heading to *Bengaluru for an internship. However, instead of joining any professional program, he secretly left with the woman to start a new life in the city.
When the student did not return home for several weeks and failed to respond to repeated calls, his parents began to suspect something was wrong. After a brief investigation on their own, they discovered the relationship and approached the local police for help.
Police Trace the Couple to Bengaluru
Upon receiving the complaint, Chittoor police traced the young man and the woman to Bengaluru. A police team was sent to bring them back safely.
Once brought to Chittoor, both individuals were given counseling by trained officers. Following the sessions, they were sent back to their respective families.
