*Hyderabad, September 22, 2024* – AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to consider a ban on the use of DJs during religious festivals and rallies. Speaking at an open meeting at Darussalam on Friday midnight in honor of Milad Un Nabi, Owaisi emphasized that the money spent on DJs could be better utilized for education, marriage, and welfare programs for the poor.“There is no benefit in using DJs. The same funds can be spent on helping the needy, especially in the fields of education and social welfare,” Owaisi remarked, calling for a focus on more meaningful causes during religious celebrations. In his address, Owaisi also responded to remarks made by Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay, who had alleged that madrasas were training militants. Owaisi strongly refuted these claims, questioning Sanjay’s understanding of madrasas and reminding the audience of the historical role of Muslims in India’s freedom struggle. He stated that it was the efforts of many Muslims, not just the RSS or BJP, that contributed to India’s independence.Owaisi further suggested that Bandi Sanjay should redirect his focus to the ongoing unrest in Manipur, urging him to address the issue of militants who have snatched AK-47 rifles from the police. In addition, Owaisi called upon secularists across India to oppose the potential introduction of a special law that would allow the government to seize Waqf properties. He expressed confidence that the BJP would face heavy defeats in upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, while predicting that the AIMIM would emerge victorious in Maharashtra. The speech underscored Owaisi’s continued commitment to advocating for the rights of minorities, as well as his sharp criticism of the BJP’s policies on religious matters and regional governance.
