Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged tribal communities to make the most of available opportunities and contribute to nation-building.
Addressing the gathering, Naidu cited President Droupadi Murmu’s journey as an example of how determination and opportunities can help people reach the highest positions. He noted that Murmu rose from an ordinary tribal woman to a minister and governor in Odisha before becoming the President of India.
The Chief Minister said determination builds self-confidence and enables people to achieve greater heights. He cited former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former Andhra Pradesh CM N.T. Rama Rao, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as examples of leaders who rose from humble backgrounds.
Ahead of Independence Day, Naidu urged people to focus on what they can contribute to society and the country, adopting the spirit of “I, my country, my state, my village and my family.”
He said serving the nation does not necessarily mean fighting a war at the border. A tribal farmer who increases agricultural production or a woman who earns a livelihood through self-employment is also making a valuable contribution to the nation, he said.
Naidu emphasised that personal success is also an important part of nation-building, as every working individual contributes to the progress of society and the country.
