AP Government Releases ₹100 Crore for School Maintenance: Minister Lokesh

*Amaravati, October 19* – Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh announced that the state government has released ₹100 crore for the maintenance and development of schools that have become trouble spots across the state. The funds aim to address essential needs and improve the learning environment in educational institutions.According to Minister Lokesh, ₹8.63 crore has been allocated for 855 *PMSri* schools for the academic year 2024-25, while ₹35.16 crore has been set aside for Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs). Additionally, ₹8.82 crore has been provided for Mandal Resource Centers and ₹51 crore for other schools. The total disbursement amounts to ₹90 crore, with another ₹10 crore to be released soon.Minister Lokesh emphasized that these funds should be utilized to purchase essential supplies such as chalks, dusters, charts, educational materials, registers, records, and sports equipment.
