Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh
In a heartfelt move toward inclusive development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the adoption of 250 families in his own constituency of *Kuppam. This step is part of the state’s broader mission to eradicate poverty and uplift underprivileged communities through the *Bangaru Kutumbam (Golden Families) initiative.
Speaking to media on Friday, Chandrababu said that poverty elimination is not just a government objective but a personal responsibility for leaders as well. “We are not just building infrastructure; we are rebuilding lives,” he stated. The CM added that his family members will also actively participate in this people-centered campaign.
Bangaru Kutumbam Movement Gains Momentum
According to the latest official data, 5,74,811 families have already been adopted across the state under this initiative. The program also witnessed 57,503 individuals enrolling as Margadarsis (mentors), guiding and assisting adopted families in improving their socio-economic conditions.
The Bangaru Kutumbam initiative focuses on holistic support—providing access to education, skill development, employment, housing, and healthcare. Chandrababu stressed that these efforts will not be symbolic, but actionable and monitored for long-term results.
Vision Beyond Politics
This step, according to political analysts, reflects Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to grassroots development and people-first governance. By adopting families from his own constituency, the Chief Minister hopes to set an example for MLAs, MPs, officials, and even the general public.
The move has been widely praised by civil society groups and social welfare activists. Many believe such leadership will help bridge the trust gap between government programs and citizens.
