**Hyderabad, October 21, 2024** — Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the police to take strict action against individuals engaging in activities that disrupt peace and incite divisions among people. Referring to a recent incident at the Muthyalamma Temple in Secunderabad, he stressed that the government will fully support the police in controlling anti-social elements attempting to create discord among the public.Speaking at the Police Martyrs’ Remembrance Day held at Goshamahal, the Chief Minister paid tribute by laying a wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial. He participated in the Flag Day Parade and interacted with the families of the fallen police officers.Revanth Reddy emphasized the critical role of law and order in a state’s progress, applauding the efforts of the Telangana police in maintaining peace and security across the state. “For any state to move forward, safeguarding peace and security is of utmost importance,” he stated, adding that the Telangana government is grateful to the police for their tireless service.The Chief Minister outlined the following key points during his speech:- **Strict Action Against Wrongdoers**: He reiterated that the police must act firmly against those violating the law. He also warned that individuals attempting to take justice into their own hands, believing they can punish wrongdoers, are undermining law and order. The distinction between offenders and vigilantes becomes blurred in such situations, and the police must act without hesitation against anyone disturbing peace. – **Maintaining Communal Harmony**: Reddy emphasized that communal harmony must be preserved to celebrate festivals peacefully. He appreciated the police for their efforts to maintain harmony in Hyderabad, often working under challenging conditions.- **Balanced Policing**: The Chief Minister urged the police to practice “friendly policing” with victims but to be tough on criminals.
