Secunderabad:In a heartwarming act of compassion, Chilkalguda Inspector Valishetty Ramakrishna came to the rescue of a 70-year-old destitute woman found in a helpless condition on the premises of Gandhi Hospital, showcasing the humane side of the police force.
While on night patrol on Tuesday (July 21), Inspector Ramakrishna noticed the elderly woman, identified as Yadamma (70), sitting alone with no one to care for her. Upon speaking with her, she said she had no family or support.
Responding immediately, the Inspector arranged for her safe relocation to the Missionaries of Charity shelter home in New Bhoiguda, ensuring she received proper care and protection.
Inspector Valishetty Ramakrishna, along with SI Chandrayya, Head Constables T. Sharath and Poosa Srinivas, and PC Vinay, was appreciated by local residents for their humanitarian gesture.
Police said the elderly woman could only tell her name and was unable to provide her address or other personal details. They appealed to anyone who recognizes her or has information about her family to contact the Chilkalguda Police.
