Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu began his three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a series of high-level meetings aimed at promoting Brand AP and attracting global investments across key sectors including infrastructure, logistics, tourism, and healthcare.
🤝 Meetings with Global Industry Leaders
On the first day of his visit, Naidu held *one-on-one discussions with several international business leaders. His first meeting was with **PNC Menon, Founder of the **Sobha Group, during which the Chief Minister presented his vision for *Amaravati as a world-class capital city.
Naidu highlighted *investment opportunities in tourism, real estate, and hospitality, urging Menon to visit Amaravati and witness the ongoing infrastructure projects firsthand. He also extended a formal invitation to the **CII Partnership Summit, scheduled to be held in *Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.
“Andhra Pradesh is the best destination for investments,” Naidu affirmed, emphasizing the State’s investor-friendly environment.
In a positive development, PNC Menon announced a ₹100 crore contribution for establishing a world-class library in Amaravati, reflecting growing investor confidence in AP’s development vision.
🚛 Talks with Sharaf Group on Logistics and Industrial Growth
Later, Naidu met Sharaf Group Vice-Chairman Sharafuddin and discussed developing logistics parks and warehouse facilities in AP’s industrial zones. Representatives from *Hind Terminals Private Limited, part of the Sharaf Group, expressed their interest in building *logistics hubs with rail and port connectivity.
Naidu assured full government support, saying the State is ready to amend policies if required to attract investments in the *port and highway sectors. He also emphasized that the *automobile industry in Rayalaseema would be given special focus to boost employment and exports.
⚓ Transworld Group Keen on Shipbuilding Partnership
During his meeting with *Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of the **Transworld Group, Naidu showcased the **potential of the shipbuilding industry in Andhra Pradesh. The group expressed readiness to *partner in developing the shipbuilding unit at Dugarajupatnam Port, marking another significant step toward industrial diversification.
🏥 Burjeel Group to Establish Cancer Centre in Tirupati
The Chief Minister also met *Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder-Chairman of **Burjeel Holdings, one of the UAE’s leading healthcare groups. Naidu explained the *digitalization of health cards in Andhra Pradesh, which is currently being implemented as a pilot project.
Recognizing the opportunity, the Burjeel Group proposed to *set up a state-of-the-art cancer hospital in Tirupati, leveraging its expertise in *oncology and medical research from Abu Dhabi.
🇮🇳 Strengthening India–UAE Ties
Earlier, Naidu met *A. Amarnath, Charge d’Affaires at the **Embassy of India, and *Satish Sivan, Consul General in Dubai.
Satish Sivan highlighted the *growing trade partnership between India and the UAE, noting that *bilateral trade has risen by 50% in the past three years.
Amarnath stated that the UAE is keen on investing in India’s education, healthcare, green energy, and food park sectors. He commended Andhra Pradesh for introducing progressive industrial policies that are drawing companies like Google to the State.
“AP is prioritizing green energy, data centers, and technology innovation. The State also has abundant opportunities in food processing,” Amarnath remarked.

Upon his arrival at *Dubai International Airport, Chief Minister Naidu received a *grand reception from the Telugu diaspora, including entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members who hailed his leadership and vision for Andhra Pradesh’s global growth.
