CPI Leader Chandu Nayak Murder Case: Five Arrested, Weapons Seized by Malakpet Police

In a major breakthrough, Hyderabad police have arrested five individuals in connection with the brutal murder of *CPI leader Chandu Nayak, aged 50. The accused were nabbed by *Malakpet police, who also recovered the weapons used in the crime.

Chandu Nayak was fatally shot at close range while returning home after his regular morning walk at *Shalivahana Nagar Park, under the Malakpet police station limits. According to investigators, the assailants *sprayed chili powder into his eyes before opening fire, rendering him defenseless.

Following an intensive investigation, police revealed that the firearms used in the murder were illegally procured from Bihar. Forensic analysis and surveillance footage helped the authorities track down the suspects, who have since confessed to their involvement.

Weapons Brought from Bihar

Officials confirmed that the murder was premeditated. The accused are believed to have traveled to Bihar to acquire country-made pistols, which were later used to execute the attack. Police teams are further investigating the source of the weapons and whether any organized crime links exist.

Hyderabad Commissionerate officials praised the swift action taken by the Malakpet police team. “The arrests were made after careful technical analysis and coordinated ground intelligence,” said a senior police official.

The motive behind the murder is still under investigation. Police are not ruling out political rivalry or personal enmity as possible reasons.
