Delhi CM Atishi Starts Working From Private Residence After Public Works Department Removes Belongings

*New Delhi, October 2024* – Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has begun working from her private residence following a controversy involving her official government residence. Just two days ago, Atishi accused the Public Works Department (PWD) of removing her belongings from the official chief minister’s residence without prior notice. According to Atishi, the department had thrown out her possessions, leaving her with no option but to work from home.Atishi has packed her discarded belongings into boxes and has started conducting her official duties with those boxes around her. The incident adds to the growing challenges facing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi. Atishi had recently been sworn in as the Chief Minister and had moved into the official residence on Flagstaff Road, Civil Lines, just a couple of days before this incident occurred.On Wednesday morning, around 11:30 AM, a team of PWD officials visited the Chief Minister’s residence, known as Sheesh Mahal, and took possession of the keys, sealing the premises. The removal of Atishi’s belongings and the sealing of her residence have sparked further political controversy in the capital.
