Police sources revealed on Monday that they have written to the messaging platform Telegram, seeking information about a group that claimed responsibility for the explosion. The blast, which took place on Sunday morning, caused damage to a wall of the CRPF school. Though no injuries were reported, nearby signboards, shop hoardings, and vehicle windows were damaged. Police recovered traces of white powder at the scene, confirming that the explosion was caused by an improvised crude bomb. CCTV footage of a suspect seen at the location the night before has also been retrieved.Investigators suspect that the improvised explosive device (IED) was wrapped in a plastic bag and hidden in a one-foot-deep pit near the school wall. Following the explosion, a purported Telegram post circulated on social media, claiming the attack was in retaliation to the alleged targeting of pro-Khalistan separatists by Indian agents. The post pointed to potential involvement of Khalistani elements in the incident. The police are focusing on a Telegram group named “Justice League India,” where the CCTV footage of the blast was shared, along with a watermark reading “Khalistan Zindabad.” The post stated, “If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice, then they live in a fool’s world. They can’t imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI.”A forensic team, along with officials from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), visited the site of the blast on Monday morning to collect further evidence. The FIR has been filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, and Explosives Act at Prashant Vihar police station.Authorities are now intensifying their investigation to uncover the exact nature of the Khalistani connection and track down those responsible for the attack.
