GHMC Issues Show-Cause Notice to Allu Aravind Over Unauthorized Penthouse in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad, September 9, 2025 –

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has served a show-cause notice to senior Telugu film producer Allu Aravind for allegedly constructing an unauthorized penthouse on top of his commercial building, Allu Business Park, located at Jubilee Hills Road No. 45.

What Happened?

According to GHMC officials, Allu Aravind obtained legal permission to construct a ground floor and four additional floors on his property. However, a penthouse was recently built above the sanctioned structure without approval.

The GHMC Town Planning department termed the penthouse an “illegal construction” and issued notices asking why it should not be demolished. If a valid explanation is not provided, officials may initiate demolition proceedings under municipal laws.

Family Context

Interestingly, this notice coincided with a family event. On Monday, the Allu family hosted a prayer meeting in memory of *Allu Kanakaratnamma, wife of late actor *Allu Ramalingaiah and mother of Allu Aravind. The event was attended by several leading personalities including *Megastar Chiranjeevi, **Ram Charan, and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister *Pawan Kalyan.

Current Status

As of now, the Allu family has not officially responded to the GHMC notice. Sources indicate that the civic body will wait for Aravind’s reply before taking further action. If no convincing justification is submitted, the penthouse may face demolition.
