Government Deploys Special Police Personnel to HYDRA for Pond Protection

In a significant move aimed at strengthening environmental conservation efforts, the government has deployed specialized police personnel to HYDRA, an organization formed with the objective of protecting and maintaining ponds across the region. The newly assigned task force includes 18 Circle Inspector (CI) level officers and five Senior Superintendent (SS) level officers, as per the latest directives.The Director General of Police (DGP) office has issued formal deputation orders, marking a notable step in ensuring the security and preservation of natural water bodies. The decision underscores the government’s commitment to environmental conservation and the safeguarding of vital water resources.HYDRA, established with the mission of addressing issues related to pond maintenance, pollution control, and water preservation, will now benefit from increased security and surveillance capabilities through this dedicated police force.
