Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Invites Global Investors, Highlights $74.6 Billion Investment

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has invited domestic and global investors to explore fresh opportunities in the state.

He made the appeal while addressing the curtain-raiser event for the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit on Monday.

Patel highlighted Gujarat’s growing position as an investment destination. He said the state attracted USD 74.6 billion in investment between January 2000 and March 2026.

The Chief Minister pointed to manufacturing, new technologies and green energy as key areas for future investment.

Patel pitches Gujarat as a long-term investment destination

Patel said investors consider several factors before committing their money.

«“When investors make an investment, they do not look only at the market.”»

He said leadership, policy stability, governance and infrastructure also influence investment decisions.

The long-term vision of a government is equally important, he added.

Patel said investors also assess the direction a state is likely to take over the next 10 to 20 years.

He invited companies to set up new manufacturing facilities in Gujarat. He also encouraged businesses to explore opportunities in emerging technologies and green growth.

Focus on future industries

The Chief Minister said Gujarat has already built a strong base in traditional industries.

The state is now looking beyond established sectors.

Patel said the focus is on identifying industries that could shape the economy over the next two decades.

The upcoming Vibrant Gujarat summit will reflect this approach, he said.

The theme of the 11th edition is “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future.” The three-day summit is scheduled to begin on January 10, 2027.

Gujarat targets green energy and new technologies

Patel also highlighted Gujarat’s push towards green hydrogen and green energy.

The state is seeking to strengthen its role in emerging industries. Its science and technology ecosystem is also expanding through new policy initiatives.

Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation currently operates 239 industrial estates across the state. It is also developing special investment regions and sector-specific industrial zones.

Vibrant Gujarat as a global business platform

Patel described Vibrant Gujarat as more than an investment summit.

He said it has become a platform for global investors to build partnerships and exchange knowledge.

According to the Chief Minister, policy stability and faster execution have helped strengthen investor confidence in Gujarat.

He also stressed the importance of transparency and skilled manpower.

The message from Gujarat is clear. The state wants investment not only in established industries but also in sectors that could drive future growth.

With the 2027 summit approaching, the government is positioning Gujarat as a long-term destination for manufacturing, technology and green investment.
