Hyderabad, July 14: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against HMDA Chief Engineer B. Ravinder, alleging that he amassed wealth through corrupt practices and dubious means during his service.On Tuesday, ACB officials carried out simultaneous searches at the officer’s residence, office, and nine other locations linked to his relatives, associates, and alleged benamidars.During the raids, officials detected assets with a documented value of ₹9.24 crore, while the market value is estimated to be close to ₹100 crore.Assets detected include:5 open plots in Kondakal, Kismatpur and Pasamala4 residential flats in Narsingi and Nanakramguda4 acres of agricultural land in Kothur and ShamshabadA semi-finished villa at MokilaA G+4 building at Masjid Banda, KondapurThe ACB also seized:₹3.82 lakh in cashBank deposits worth ₹45.05 lakh1,440 grams of gold ornaments12.5 kg of silver ornamentsHousehold articles valued at over ₹17 lakhAccording to the ACB, the total value of the assets identified stands at ₹9.24 crore, though the actual market value of the immovable properties is believed to be significantly higher.The accused officer has been produced before the court for judicial remand. The Anti-Corruption Bureau stated that the investigation is ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the alleged illegal assets.
