The mystery behind a body found floating in the Musi canal at Amberpet has been solved. Police confirmed that a young man, identified as Shorab (30), was murdered by his friends before being dumped in the canal.
According to *DCP Balaswami, the suspects *Mohammed Javed (27) and Mohammed Ameerul Haq strangled Shorab with electric wires after getting him intoxicated. Both accused have been arrested and detailed the crime during police interrogation.
Friendship Turns Fatal
All three men hailed from Bihar and worked as false-ceiling laborers in Hyderabad’s Boduppal area. Living in Dwaraka Nagar, they often socialized after work. However, cracks emerged in their friendship when Javed began suspecting that Shorab had developed an interest in his wife.
Despite repeated warnings, Shorab’s behavior reportedly remained unchanged, which deeply angered Javed. He then plotted the killing with the help of Ameerul Haq.
Planned Murder at Amberpet
On the day of the crime, the duo invited Shorab for drinks. Once he became heavily intoxicated, they strangled him with wires and disposed of his body in the Musi canal. The case came to light after one of Shorab’s close friends filed a missing complaint, leading police to investigate and uncover the truth.
Police Action
Amberpet police swiftly tracked down the suspects and arrested them. Authorities have confirmed that both accused will face murder charges, and the investigation is continuing to gather further evidence.
