In a significant crackdown on illegal construction activities, Hyderabad authorities have initiated criminal proceedings against multiple entities involved in unauthorized building projects. The Telangana police have registered criminal cases against Maps Infra and a private builder, following complaints lodged by revenue officials. Additionally, five government officials have also been implicated for their role in overseeing these illegal constructions.The case in question pertains to several unauthorized constructions within the Buffer Zone of Erla Cheruvu in Madinaguda. Specifically, three structures were identified as being illegally built in Survey No 25, Vaishali Nagar, Madinaguda. Among those implicated is D. Swarnalatha, wife of Sri B. Akkiraju, who has been charged with carrying out unauthorized constructions in the area.
