Hyderabad Gears Up for Large-Scale Ration Card Distribution from August 1–3: Over 4.3 Lakh Beneficiaries to Benefit

Hyderabad, July 31, 2025 :

In a major step towards enhancing food security and public welfare, the Telangana State Government will begin distribution of new ration cards across various constituencies in Hyderabad district from August 1 to August 3, 2025.

The initiative will be led by *Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who also serves as the **Hyderabad District In-charge Minister, along with *District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari, according to an official statement issued today.

New and Revised Ration Cards to Benefit Over 4.3 Lakh Citizens

Collector Hari Chandana revealed that the government has completed the preparation and verification of new *food security cards. A total of *2,01,116 beneficiaries will receive *55,378 newly sanctioned ration cards, while an additional *2,32,297 eligible individuals will be included under 1,37,947 existing cards.

This distribution drive is part of the state’s broader mission to ensure food access for all eligible citizens, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds.

Ration Card Distribution Schedule (August 1–3, 2025)

August 1, 2025 (Friday)

  • 🕙 10:00 AM – Banjara Bhavan, Banjara Hills (Khairatabad)
  • 🕛 12:00 PM – Lee Palace, Balamrai Gymkhana Grounds (Cantonment)
  • 🕒 3:00 PM – Habib Fatima Nagar Community Hall, Rahmat Nagar (Jubilee Hills)

** August 2, 2025 (Saturday)**

  • 🕙 10:00 AM – Amberpet constituency
  • 🕛 12:00 PM – Musheerabad constituency
  • 🕒 3:00 PM – Secunderabad constituency

** August 3, 2025 (Sunday)**

  • 🕛 12:00 PM – Charminar and Karwan constituencies (simultaneously)
  • 🕒 3:00 PM – Chandrayangutta constituency

Public Representatives to Join the Initiative

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and other local leaders will attend the distribution ceremonies to personally hand over the ration cards. The government hopes this gesture will build stronger trust between the administration and the public.

District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari urged all eligible beneficiaries to attend the events scheduled in their respective areas. She emphasized the importance of community participation for the smooth and successful execution of the program.
