The *Pink Power Run 2.0, a large-scale fitness and awareness event, was successfully held at *People’s Plaza, Necklace Road on Sunday. The initiative, organized by the *Sudha Reddy Foundation, aimed to promote fitness while spreading crucial awareness about *breast cancer prevention and early detection.
Philanthropist and social activist *Sudha Reddy, who spearheaded the event, said, *“This run is dedicated to encouraging fitness and fighting against breast cancer. Around 18,000 to 20,000 people have actively participated, which is truly overwhelming.”
The event witnessed the participation of people from diverse backgrounds, including students, professionals, fitness enthusiasts, and medical experts. Participants wore symbolic pink to express solidarity with the global fight against breast cancer.
Health experts present at the event emphasized the importance of regular screenings, lifestyle changes, and early diagnosis to reduce mortality rates caused by breast cancer. According to medical data, breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women in India, making awareness initiatives like the Pink Power Run all the more significant.
