The Telangana government has launched the first phase of the Indiramma Housing Scheme under the CURE initiative in Hyderabad, with 8,000 houses to be constructed across 16 Assembly constituencies. Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said applications will be accepted from July 21 to August 10 through MeeSeva, WhatsApp and the official website.
Each constituency will initially receive 500 houses, while another 8 constituencies will be added in the next phase after land identification. The government plans to complete the houses before next year’s Bonalu festival, with the minister stating that “next year’s Bonalu will be celebrated from these new Indiramma homes.”
Each beneficiary will receive:Government subsidy of ₹5 lakhFree registration of land worth ₹40–60 lakhTotal house cost of ₹11 lakhBeneficiary contribution of ₹6 lakh, payable in four installmentsSC, ST and BC reservations in allotments
Applicants must have an annual family income of up to ₹6 lakh, should not own a house or land within the CURE limits, and only one application per family will be accepted. If applications exceed available houses, allotments will be decided through a transparent lottery
The government also announced that a housing scheme for the middle class will be unveiled soon.
