Hyderabad Police Arrest 11 Fake Doctors Practising with Fake Certificates
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police have arrested 11 alleged fake doctors and a medical shop owner during a special operation in Jubilee Hills and Secunderabad.
The accused were allegedly practising medicine using fake degree certificates and forged doctor certificates. Police said they were treating patients without the required medical qualifications.
According to Vaibhav Gaikwad Raghunath, DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, the operation was conducted after police received information about people practising medicine illegally.
Police reportedly seized prescriptions, rubber stamps carrying doctors’ names and fake medical certificates. Thousands of medicines, glucose bottles and other medical equipment were also recovered.
The investigation found that the accused were allegedly treating around 50 to 100 patients every day. They reportedly charged patients between ₹50 and ₹200 per consultation.
Six Fake Doctors Arrested in Secunderabad
Police arrested six alleged fake doctors in the Secunderabad Zone. Five others were arrested in the Jubilee Hills Zone.
The accused were reportedly running medical practices in different areas of Hyderabad. Police have registered 11 cases at various police stations.
According to the police, two cases were registered at Mudarangar. One case each was registered at Jubilee Hills, Filmnagar, Borabanda, Ramgopalpet and Domalguda.
Two cases each were also registered at Chilkalguda and in the Old City.
Police Recover Medicines and Medical Equipment
During the operation, police teams recovered a range of items allegedly used by the accused while treating patients.
The seized material included fake certificates, prescriptions, rubber stamps, medicines, glucose bottles and medical equipment. Police are now examining the documents and other evidence collected during the raids.
The arrests have raised concerns about unqualified persons providing medical treatment to unsuspecting patients. Such practices can put patients at serious risk, particularly when medicines or treatments are prescribed without proper medical assessment.
