A shocking incident of gang rape has come to light in Hyderabad, where a 24-year-old software engineer was allegedly raped by two men, including her childhood friend, in the Omkar Nagar area near Vanasthalipuram on Monday, July 29.According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Palle Kasi Reddy, the victim had organized a party at Sri Bommarillu Bar and Restaurant to celebrate her new job. After the party, the victim, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, went downstairs to a room in the same building with her childhood friend Gautham Reddy and a mutual friend.In her police complaint, the victim alleged that she was gang raped by the two men in the room. The accused then left the scene, and the victim informed her friends about the incident, who subsequently helped her file a police complaint.A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the two accused. The police are investigating the matter further.
