Hyderabad Toddy Tragedy: 2 Dead, 37 Hospitalized After Consuming Suspected Adulterated Drink in Kukatpally

In a disturbing public health incident, *at least 37 individuals, including several women, were hospitalized late Tuesday night in **Kukatpally, Hyderabad, after allegedly consuming *adulterated toddy from local outlets. Tragically, *two people have died, and *four others are in critical condition, according to health officials.

The victims reportedly complained of diarrhea, dehydration, and dizziness shortly after consuming toddy purchased from various shops in the area.

Emergency Response Activated: Patients Admitted Across Major Hospitals

As of now, 31 victims are undergoing treatment at *NIMS (Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences), while *six others have been shifted to private hospitals and *Gandhi Hospital, stated the **Director of NIMS. Taking serious note of the incident, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy ordered an immediate response. In a high-level teleconference chaired by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, the CM instructed officials to:

  • Submit a detailed report on the cause of deaths, post-mortem findings, and those responsible
