Liquor Prohibition in Public Places Extended in Ramagundam

*Ramagundam, October 1, 2024* – The prohibition on consuming liquor in public places will continue under the jurisdiction of the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate, according to Commissioner of Police (CP) Srinivas. The extension of this ban, aimed at ensuring public safety and addressing concerns raised by citizens, particularly women, will be in effect from October 1 until November 1.CP Srinivas emphasized that the prohibition is part of an ongoing effort to curb public disturbances and maintain a peaceful environment. The decision to continue the ban follows complaints from residents about the inconvenience and discomfort caused by public alcohol consumption, especially in areas frequented by families and women.In addition to the liquor ban, CP Srinivas announced the extension of restrictions on the use of DJs and drones in public events. The measures are designed to minimize noise pollution and enhance public safety, particularly during large gatherings.The Ramagundam Police urged citizens to cooperate with the enforcement of these regulations and warned that violators would face strict penalties. Authorities are also increasing patrols and surveillance to ensure the rules are adhered to.
