Minister Sridhar Babu Reviews T-Fiber Progress, Orders Exclusive Internet Connectivity for Government Offices from September 1

Hyderabad, August 4: Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Tuesday reviewed the progress of T-Fiber at the Telangana Secretariat and directed officials to ensure that all Government offices across the State are connected exclusively through the T-Fiber network from September 1.

During the review meeting, attended by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Joint Secretary (IT) Anudeep Durishetty, T-Fiber Managing Director Venu Prasad, and senior officials, the Minister instructed authorities to complete all pending infrastructure and connectivity works within the stipulated timeline.

The Minister also directed that no internet bills from private service providers should be processed or paid for Government offices after September 1, as internet services will be provided solely through T-Fiber.

Reviewing the migration plan, Shri Sridhar Babu instructed officials to complete the transfer of the Telangana State Wide Area Network (T-SWAN) to the T-Fiber network within one month to ensure seamless and uninterrupted connectivity for Government departments.

He further directed officials to provide high-speed T-Fiber connectivity for the prestigious Future City project, enabling world-class digital infrastructure from the beginning.

Emphasising the State Government’s vision of universal digital connectivity, the Minister called for faster implementation of the “Internet to Every Home” initiative to expand broadband services to households across Telangana.

Reiterating the Government’s commitment to digital transformation, Shri Sridhar Babu said strengthening T-Fiber infrastructure is crucial for delivering reliable, secure, and affordable high-speed internet connectivity to both Government institutions and citizens across the State.
