With the end of monsoon showers and the onset of a changing climate, health officials in Sangareddy have been advised to remain alert against the possible rise of *seasonal diseases. District Medical Officer (DMO) *Dr. Naga Nirmala has instructed medical staff across the district to strengthen preventive measures and ensure preparedness in handling potential outbreaks.
Seasonal Health Risks Identified
Speaking on Friday, Dr. Nirmala highlighted that reduced rainfall often creates favorable conditions for the spread of infections such as viral fevers, malaria, dengue, chikungunya, and gastroenteritis. She stressed that early monitoring and preventive steps will help avoid large-scale health challenges in the district.
Public Health Advisory
The DMO also urged residents to adopt strict personal and community hygiene practices.
- Maintain clean surroundings and avoid stagnant water to control mosquito breeding.
- Dispose of household waste properly and avoid throwing garbage on roads.
- Wash hands regularly and ensure safe drinking water.
- Seek medical attention immediately in case of fever, rashes, or persistent illness.
She further emphasized that public cooperation is essential for the effective control of seasonal diseases, noting that the government alone cannot manage without community participation.
