Shadnagar, July 26, 2025 —
A heart-wrenching road accident in Shadnagar on Saturday morning has left the town in deep shock. A speeding tanker lorry collided with a motorcycle at the *Shadnagar junction, resulting in the *tragic deaths of a father and his daughter, both residents of the local area.
The victims were identified as Machhender and his daughter Maitri, a B.Tech student.
Tanker’s Negligence Leads to Fatal Collision
According to eyewitness reports, the tanker was being driven recklessly when it crashed into the motorcycle on which the father-daughter duo was traveling. The incident occurred when Machhender was reportedly dropping his daughter at the bus station so she could reach Vardhaman College, Shamshabad.
Both were thrown off the bike due to the *intense impact, leading to *instant death.
“Please Save Me…”: Maitri’s Last Words Stir Emotion
As per locals, immediately after the accident, *Maitri, who was critically injured, handed over her mobile phone to a bystander named *Tayyab, pleading with him to contact her family. Though bleeding heavily, she managed to whisper:
“Nannu Kaapadandi…” (Please save me)
Tayyab tried to contact her family and also used a friend’s number that was calling on her phone to inform others. Unfortunately, Maitri succumbed to her injuries before any medical help could arrive.
Driver in Custody, Investigation Underway
Shadnagar Police have taken the tanker driver into custody and registered a case. Town Circle Inspector Vijay Kumar confirmed the fatalities and assured a detailed investigation into the incident.
“Machhender and his daughter were on their way to the bus stand when the accident happened. The lorry driver is being questioned,” said CI Vijay Kumar.
The bodies have been shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem.

Maitri, a promising engineering student, was well-known among her peers for her kind nature and academic excellence. The local community, classmates, and teachers expressed their grief over the tragic loss of such a young life. Her sudden demise has triggered widespread outrage over growing road safety violations.
