Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran visited the defence manufacturing facility of Solar Industries India Limited in Nagpur, where he reviewed the company’s production of ammunition, missiles, and advanced defence systems.

During the visit, Chandrasekaran emphasized the importance of India’s defence sector, noting that no single entity can meet the country’s growing strategic and security requirements. He said, “Defence is a very important sector, so we need multiple players. Nobody else can solve the defence needs of the country, so we all have to contribute. Wherever there is collaboration, we will collaborate.”

He added that the purpose of his visit was to understand the scale of operations at Solar Industries and to learn more about the technologies being developed. “Today, the whole idea was to get to visit the facility and learn what they are doing. If you see the outlook, there is going to be so much capability required across the defence sector,” he remarked.
