Technical Glitch Grounds Hyderabad-Tirupati SpiceJet Flight; Passengers Shifted to Alternate Aircraft

A technical snag in a SpiceJet flight bound for Tirupati from Hyderabad on Sunday led to a temporary disruption in travel plans for over 50 passengers.

The issue occurred in *SpiceJet flight SG-2138, which was scheduled to depart from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The *pilot reportedly identified a technical issue during pre-departure checks, prompting immediate action from the airline’s safety team.

Flight Cancelled After Safety Check

As a *precautionary measure, SpiceJet authorities *cancelled the flight to ensure passenger safety. The airline confirmed that an internal assessment of the aircraft revealed an operational malfunction that required grounding the plane.

An airline spokesperson stated, “Safety is our top priority. Our engineering team is currently investigating the fault. Passengers are being accommodated on an alternate flight.”

Passengers Rebooked; Minor Delay Reported

There were 54 passengers onboard who were expecting to reach Tirupati by afternoon. Following the cancellation, SpiceJet’s management arranged for an alternative aircraft to transport them to their destination.

Though there was a delay, all passengers were rebooked and assisted by ground staff throughout the process. Some travelers reportedly expressed concern and mild frustration over the unexpected inconvenience.

However, no injuries or emergencies were reported, and all passengers remained safe.

Airline Apologizes for Inconvenience

SpiceJet issued an apology for the unexpected delay and thanked the passengers for their cooperation and understanding. The airline reiterated that such preventive measures are part of strict aviation safety protocol.
