Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Directs Completion of Osmania Hospital’s New Building Within Two Years

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to complete the construction of the new Osmania General Hospital building within two years. The project is considered one of the state government’s most prestigious healthcare initiatives.

The Chief Minister held a high-level review meeting on the hospital’s progress and issued key instructions to accelerate work and ensure modern infrastructure.


✅ Advanced Medical Facilities and Infrastructure

Revanth Reddy emphasized that the new hospital must be equipped with world-class medical equipment and the latest healthcare technologies.
Officials have been instructed to prepare detailed plans for acquiring and installing these advanced systems. Engineering teams were told to ensure that rooms, labs, and supporting structures are designed to meet the technical requirements of high-end medical equipment.


✅ Smooth Construction with Public Convenience

The Chief Minister also instructed authorities to carry out the construction work without causing inconvenience to local residents.
He stressed the need for proper road connectivity around the hospital to ensure smooth access for patients, staff, and emergency vehicles.


✅ Coordination Committee for Speedy Work

To *expedite the construction process, the CM ordered the formation of a *special coordination committee consisting of officials from the Health Department, Police, GHMC, Roads & Buildings, and the Electricity Department.

This committee will inspect the site regularly and meet once every ten days to resolve issues on the ground and keep the work moving at a fast pace.


✅ Pre-Planning for Security and Traffic Management

Revanth Reddy advised that once the hospital is completed, security and traffic management plans should already be in place.
He directed the authorities to start integrating various connecting roads to the hospital and make suitable plans for public convenience well in advance.


✅ Monitoring and Accountability

To ensure transparency and accountability, the Chief Minister ordered that a dedicated officer be appointed for each ongoing hospital and medical college project in Hyderabad and other districts.
Each officer will have 24×7 monitoring responsibility over their assigned project and must ensure timely completion.

The CM set a deadline of June next year for all major construction works to be completed.
