Telangana to See Expansion with New Airports: Khammam MP Urges Swift Action.

In a recent development, Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy has raised a crucial demand in the Lok Sabha for the construction of new airports in Telangana. Addressing the Parliament during budget deliberations, MP Raghuram Reddy emphasized the urgent need for expanding air connectivity beyond Hyderabad, the state’s current hub.Highlighting the proposal, MP Raghuram Reddy outlined plans for both greenfield and brownfield airports across various districts of Telangana. He stressed the necessity of constructing three new greenfield airports, with proposed locations including Bhadradri Kothagudem and Jakran Palli in Nizamabad and Mahbubabad districts respectively. Additionally, plans for three brownfield airports in Mamunur-Warangal Urban, Basat Nagar Peddapalli, and Adilabad districts were put forth.The MP underscored that these initiatives are crucial to better serve districts located far from Hyderabad, thereby enhancing regional connectivity and boosting economic development in these areas. He highlighted that the Airport Authority has already completed essential preliminary processes such as land consolidation, technical surveys, and approvals for these projects.In response to these demands, MP Raghuram Reddy urged the Civil Aviation Ministry to expedite the construction process and ensure the completion of at least two airports at the earliest. This move, he emphasized, would significantly benefit the state by bolstering infrastructure and fostering growth in remote areas.
