Ten Arrested in Nizamabad Land Fraud Case; Fake Documents Seized

*Nizamabad, August 28, 2024* — Following the recent demolition of a house in Bondem Pond, Nizamabad district, significant irregularities have been uncovered. Police, in collaboration with the revenue department, have discovered that 1.33 acres of private land adjacent to the 23.02-acre pond (survey number 2099) was fraudulently sold using fake documents.The investigation revealed that plots measuring 100, 120, 150, and 180 yards were sold to approximately 100 individuals, each transaction valued at Rs. 50,000. Authorities suspect that around 500 such plots may have been sold. In connection with this case, the police have arrested ten people, including the alleged owner of the fraudulent scheme, known as “Your Service.” Seized items include rubber stamps and counterfeit degree papers, which were used to create false documentation in the names of various officials. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the full extent of the scam.
