TG Police Holds High-Level Staff Officers’ Meeting to Discuss Key Reforms

The Telangana Police conducted a high-level Staff Officers’ Meeting to review critical issues and discuss major reforms aimed at strengthening policing, improving resource management, and modernizing the department.

Key discussions included the implementation of the SRC report, withdrawal of unnecessary security deployments linked to Maoist threats, which is expected to save nearly 400 personnel and a fleet of bulletproof vehicles. Officials also reviewed manpower and vehicle audits, the integration of Greyhounds and OCTOPUS operations from a single campus, and the finalization of the Telangana Police Manual and its compendiums.

The meeting further focused on modernizing IPS uniform regulations, reviewing the relevance of cross belts and batons, addressing welfare issues of Telangana State Police personnel, establishing new enforcement wings for vigilance, food adulteration, and drug control, creating a dedicated Traffic and Road Safety Bureau, and upgrading the Technology & Computer Services Wing to meet present-day technological demands

Progress on CCTNS 3.0, TGCOP 3.0, and Hawk Eye 3.0 was also reviewed. The suggestions and opinions shared during the meeting will be considered while finalizing future departmental policies.
