*Hyderabad, India* – In a rare and awe-inspiring encounter, a tiger was seen crossing National Highway 44 at the border of Nirmal and Adilabad districts late Sunday night. A passing motorist captured the dramatic moment on video as the tiger made its way through a forested area between Kuntala and Sarangapur mandals, sparking concern among travelers on the busy highway.Telangana’s Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, RM Dobriyal, confirmed the sighting and reported that the tiger was observed directly by travelers near the Ghanpur check post in the Boath range of the Echoda division, Adilabad. “Our staff are monitoring the tiger on a daily basis,” Dobriyal stated. “It has now moved toward the Mandal range in the Nirmal division.”Chief Wildlife Warden Eluding Meru added that forest officials, who were present in the area, also recorded video footage of the tiger. Authorities believe the tiger may have roamed into Telangana from Maharashtra in search of new territory and a potential mate, as the current period marks the tiger mating season. The Forest Department has urged the public to remain cautious and avoid interaction with the tiger, emphasizing the importance of respecting the wild animal’s space. To ensure the safety of both motorists and the tiger, forest authorities are coordinating efforts to provide a safe passage for the animal as it navigates the area.
